How to Live Without Regrets

onlinecounsellingcollege:

1. Discover and follow your own path in life.
2. Don’t be afraid to say “no” to other people.
3. Make character a goal, and top priority.
4. Don’t procrastinate, or fail to do the things that matter.
5. Spend your time with people who affirm and value you.
6. Don’t fear being judged or criticised by other people.
7. Do what makes you happy … All the things that you enjoy.
8. Don’t ruminate on failures, or misjudgments, or mistakes.
9. Do things that you’ll be proud of when you look back on your life.
10. Don’t take yourself too seriously, or worry all the time.

Homestar Spa is a planetarium for your bath that not only paints the room with stars, but includes Rose Bath and Deep Ocean graphic domes for changing to a different mood. The waterproof planetarium floats in water and contains a bright light that projects out into the room, or even into the tub itself when flipped over creating relaxing atmospheres using ambient lighting.

They seem to be 2 for $15, and look really useful!

I need these

shoutout to folks who take medicine that could be deadly if taken too often or missed but who also have brainfog like a motherfucker especially. It’d be useful for lots of people, but in those cases especially.

MediSafe is a free medicine tracker app for smart devices for those of us who may not have access to $15!

Keeping Organised:

Organisation is key to success. As A. A. Milne says “Organising is what you do before you do something, so that when you do it, it’s not mixed up.” It can be difficult to stay organised. It takes effort and discipline, and after the day of studying is over, it can be difficult to have the energy and motivation to clean up and stay organised (I get it too!). So here are some ideas to get you started!

Keep it clean:

One thing in, one thing out. This means that if you get five new pens you throw out (or move) five other pens or objects. At the start of each year, get the supplies you need, now count them (not the individual pieces of paper J). If you have 30 items at the start of the year, you should have 30 at the end. This can apply to everything (kitchen, bathroom ect.)

Also, at the end of each day, take any dishes out of your study space, put your pens into pencil case, put your papers back into your binder, save your notes on your computer, and pack your bag for the next day. This will save you time in the morning and help you get ready in the morning. I also spray my desk clean

Keep it organised:

Have a place for everything. I have a place for rubbish, for my class work, for my notes, for my questions, for my laptop, for my subjects. Keeping things organised will make school a whole lot easier. In each of my subjects, on my laptop and hard copy, I have a notes section, questions section (for questions in the textbooks), and handouts. For English I have an essay section, chapter summary section, chapter question section. I have files within files. But be careful so you don’t get so organised that you forget which file you put stuff in.

Developing the habit:

This is the difficult bit. You need to work on doing small tasks each day. For instance, taking the dishes from your desk to the kitchen and washing them. Every day, just keep adding to it. Think of the positives of doing these things; you’ll be able to start faster the next day, you’ll have a lovely area to sit in, you’ll be able to get your homework done faster because your not having to clean up. You will need to continue this for about 21 days science suggests. This will help to develop your habit.

But what about at school?

Keep your locker tidy. Make sure that your books are easily accessible and can be put away quickly and easily. At the start or end of each day (depending on how much time you have), give your locker a quick tidy, stack the books correctly, get rid of the rubbish and grab the books you need for homework. Keep your bag clean, go through it once a week, on the weekend and throw out any rubbish that as accumulated at the bottom, give it a spray with some cleaner and give it a wipe out (unless the bottom is made of cloth). Keep your folders neat.
